What was once a bedroom is being transformed into a reading room. This beautiful space offers you a place to do research, relax and absorb the legacy the Carter House offers. Local artists, Jim Walch and David Williams are adorning a wall of the reading room with a beautiful mural of historic, downtown Elkader.
